ELIM is a Christian non-profit organization who is keen to improve the life of street children. Most of these children come from families with a lot of problems, such as extreme poverty, parents using drugs and alcohol, physical, mental and sexual abuse. These problems don’t give the children any other option but leave their home for a new one: The Street. Most of the time it isn’t temporary but for many years. ELIM wants to help these children to find the right path and stay on it. The Christian vision will help enrich their lives and provide them with good basis for the rest of it. Elim is the Hebrew word for oasis, a place to rest and shelter in the middle of the desert. This is what ELIM wants to do for these children. It is place to stay, where they can get a new start and leave their past behind.
